| Summary | 0000435: Strange beahavious of "mousewheel click and drag" near zenith | ||||
| Description | The mousewheel click and drag feature behaves strangely near zenith. With a "click and drag"-feature I expect the same sky coordinate to stay below the mouse pointer until i release the button, but this is not the case here. The chart image rotates in strange ways. The movements seem to be allmost correct if the mouse is moved very carefully in the exact direction towards equatorial north. The behaviour becomes allmost normal far away from zenith, for instance at the oposite side of EQ North. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | For instance: - Simulated time - Use FOV = 20 degrees - Press z to go to zenith - position the mouse anywhere on the screen - hold down the mouse wheel button and move the mouse pointer, for instance from top left to bottom left of the screen in 3 seconds. My observatory location is set to 63d25s North, 10d25s East. Simulated time is 2008-12-29 19:43:06 UTC. | ||||

Don't know if it makes any difference, but my program was set to use the standard ARC projection when I observed this problem. |

Agree. There is a movement acceleration in azimuth inversely proportional to the distance between the zenith and the chart center. Same problem near the pole with equatorial coordinates. |
