Summary0001953: Dark Night time
DescriptionIs it possible to add an auto start at Dark Night begins and Dark Night ends... I am refering to totaly dark, accounting for the Moon rise set. There are some objects that I follow that are so dim that I only collect photometry during NO Moon period and past/pre Dark/Dawn. Your planitarium calculates this time daily so it might be possible to add this.

In a sequence I would like to repeat the non important (Brighter Objects) skipping the objects that need total dark then when time is correct it stops skipping them.

At the moment the scheduling is very basic, it take the list of object in the order you specify and if an object need to wait, for example for rise time, it stop everything to wait the object rise.

It is planned to improve that, but only after the release of the first stable version:

But doing what you describe is possible in this version, I need to add two options for every target. One to specify the object can be taken only on dark night, this can be a simple checkbox. And another to skip the object instead of waiting if the conditions are not set.

That sounds like a very good idea. Simple and powerful.

The option is available in the new version 0.9.40.

The function is described here:
