|Summary||0002163: Polar alignment|
I understand this is probably out of scope but I'll try anyway: have you ever considered adding a polar alignment routine to ccdciel, something a la iPolar?
I know there are other possibilities already but I really would like to see something your style, in ccdciel :)
Do you think it could be possible someday?

Yes the previous issue on this subject 0001802 is still valid.
I can probably do something, using the method of rotation around the pole and plate solving to find the position of the mount axis. I agree this can be more easy by using the main camera.
But I still delay this function for version 1.2, otherwise the version 1.0 will never get out.
At the moment I plan only this method that require to see the pole.
If the pole is not visible the PHD2 drift alignment is probably the best to use, this not require the large field of the main camera.
Sounds great Patrick!
Sorry for the double issue...
