| Description | In most cases, i just like to stay awake and watch CCDCiel collecting the images. in those cases, I regularly check the median HFD value of the images using the "image inspection" button. This median HFD will indicate worsening conditions, poor focusing. guiding problems and so on. What I would suggest is to allow an automatic logged "image inspection" of the latest image when the new exposure has started. In this time the program is mostly idle. In it's simplest form this could be the existing log. The only thing required would the automatic activation of image inspection. In this mode it make also sense to suppress the star marking and labeling with red boxes and yellow numbers. The advantage is that you quickly can recognize poor quality images stored and abort an unsatisfactory series. | ||||

Yes, this is a very useful information in the log. I add the measurement just after saving the file and before the optional plate solving. I do it only if the exposure time is more than 10 seconds to be sure it finish before the next image is downloaded. The message level was already 1 so it appear in the Summary tab.
