Summary | 0002267: Improvement in image inspection
Description | Attached the code for two small improvements based on the code download a few hours ago. I would like to propose two changes: 1) Add to a screen the five HFD values used for the trapezium. 2) Modified reporting for the tilt and curvature. The tilt is expressed in delta HFD rather then percentage. The curvature I would like call off-axis aberration and is also expressed in delta-HFD. The idea came up after some posting at cloudy nights. By implementing this the reporting will work better for out-of-focus images and is hopefully a more understandable unit. https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/690595-what-does-percent-curvature-meanhow-is-it-calculated/page-2#entry9921579 Use attached code.

Thank you for this change. Yes the delta HFD value are more easy to interpret than the percent. And nice to have the 5 values on the screen. "off-axis aberration" term is good to clearly indicate what is measured, and finally this is the value we want to minimize, whatever the real optical cause. https://github.com/pchev/ccdciel/commit/2b34cccca51e249ca61b45e08a02e06e4cb6c0cb |
