Summary0001993: Non relevant warning message for asteroids.
DescriptionThe asteroid details window always contains the following warning message (in French) : "Attention! Les éléments des astéroïdes ne sont plus valables. Chargez des éléments valables pour la date actuelle de la carte.". Despite the fact that the asteroid database has been updated with an up-to-date MPCORB.DAT file.
This bug is also seen on a stable version running on a WIndows 7 based machine.
Steps To ReproduceUsing the French flavour of Cartes du Ciel.
- Clean all previous and irrelevant databases using the Système solaire->Asteroides->Maintenance tab.
- Retrieve the most recent MCORB.DAT file using the Système solaire->Asteroides->Charger le fichier->Télécharger.
- Let the software update its internal databse, or make it happen using the Système solaire->Asteroides->Charger le fichier>Utilise le ficher local.
- Select any asteroid using the Search feature, make it display on the map, and display its details window.

Additional InformationAttached files are the MPCORB file and a screnn capture of a asteroid datils window

Thank you Jacques to note this problem.

CdC show this message if the elements epoch differ for more than 6 month with the date of the chart.
But the current MPCORB file is for an epoch of 2019 April 27, this is coded in the value K194R in column 4 of the file.
This is more than 6 month from now so the message is show.

Previously the epoch was always near the publication date of the file, usually a few days before.
I don't know if this is an error for this run or a permanent change at the MPC?

In the later case I can increase the delay to show this message to one year.

This is a change I missed with the MPC data.

Looking at previous MPEC we see that up to MPEC 2018-S62 on September 27 the epoch was K183N (2018 March 23) and since MPEC 2018-S67 on September 28 it is K194R (2019 April 27).

I have increased the tolerance before to show this message to one year and this fix the issue:
