Hi Thomas,

Why not, but I not really like the fact you have to disable the limits to let the mount to turn to any hour angle. Doing that by hand to set the Polaris HA is OK for me, but I am a bit reluctant to do that with the motors.
Sure this must be done without the telescope on the mount but you know people never read the doc ...

Personally I not bother with Polaris HA and not put it in the little circle. I just keep my two eyes open and put the Polaris in the big circle so the center cross, Polaris and Kochab as seen with the second eye are aligned. This give me a PA error of 2 or 3 arcmin, probably the best I can get with a polar scope I not realign with the axis every day.

I must say, I was not working with EQMOD under the stars. EQMOD means, that I have no Synscan controller powered on. The "EQASCOM PolarScope Alignment Tool" will show me the hour angle of polaris, usally show at the Synscan. I got a AZ-EQ6 (built-in encoders) on my portable setup, so I can move it by hand to the right hour angle if I fear to do it with the RA-Motor.

So a display of Polaris hour angle in the program can help in this case?
I can also plot the same diagram as the alignment tool to visualize this hour angle reverted as in the polar scope.
This can avoid to make manipulation in a planetarium just to get this value.

This would be great, but all in all, it has a low priority.
