| Summary | 0002563: Sending Image to Planetarium via SAMP Crashes Skychart (eventually) | ||||
| Description | When using CCDCiel 0.9.80 to send an image to the planetarium for display, this will eventually crash Skychart. Aladin is the SAMP hub, both Skychart and CCDCiel are connected to the hub. The image will display in Aladin but does not display in Skychart; instead, clicking anywhere on Skychart will generate the error: "List index(2) out of bounds" with the usual Ok/Abort options. Screenshot of the failure is attached. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Start Aladin so the SAMP hub is available 2. Start CCDCiel and Skychart (order does not matter); ensure both are using SAMP 3. CCDCiel: either load a pre-existing image or take a new one 4. CCDCiel: right-click --> Resolve and Show Image in Planetarium 5. Aladin displays the image, skychart does not 6. Click anywhere in Skychart, will show the error dialog "List index(2) out of bounds" 7. If does not crash immediately, repeated attempts from 4) will eventually crash Skychart | ||||
| Additional Information | * After displaying the 'List index(2)' dialog it can be dismissed and Skychart will generally work as usual, although I have seen it crash after dismissing the dialog at least once. * The stable version (4.2.1-4073) works as expected. | ||||

Sorry, I added a parameter to the image display command but forget to make it compatible with the SAMP interface. Can you try with the test version 4.3-4564 available from https://vega.ap-i.net/tmp/skychart/ Please confirm if it work now. |
