Description | Hello, I have created a small catalog from a text file, following all the instructions. (it is a binary catalog as I want to use star names for searching). The catgen creates the files successfully. When I add the catalog folder and press the red button, it becomes green as expected. Then I press ok (or apply), and after some seconds, CDC closes automatically. The catalog is downloaded from Vizier as plain text file. If I create a text catalog it runs ok, but I can't search by the name, in order to find the catalog stars, and it is not useful for me Thank you | ||||

I download your zip, extract and point CdC to the .hdr file to load the catalog. For me everything work fine, I can search for one the the star name and display the details from Landolt. I do the test on Linux because I cannot test on Windows before the end of the week, but I doubt this make a difference. To be sure this is not an old bug already fixed, can you install the last beta version (the one I use) available from https://sourceforge.net/projects/skychart/files/0-beta/2023-05-29/ |
