Are you sure the north part of the catalog is correctly installed?
The limit you get no star is exactly at a declination of +22.5°, this is the limit between the equatorial and north zip file.

You can check at the location you install the catalog if it contain a directory named n2230. This directory must contain 530 files for a total of 166MB.

The paths appear to be active. Screen shot of Beta version ...4095

I have Stable version 4 and Beta in separate independent folders.
The UCAC4 catalog files reside in Stable version 4 folder and are reference to this folder from the Beta version.

Recall this problem does not occur when running Stable version 4.

 n2230 reports 530 files

There is a potential problem to run two version of the program, because when you run a newer version it upgrade the configuration for new or changed options.
But the old version cannot know of this change that not exists at the time it was compiled and this can potentially break the configuration.
I add an error message in this case, but sure this will be active only after a new version after 4.3 is released:
https://github.com/pchev/skychart/commit/4e8346cf4c2d2226497769880e0de6c116719a4e

The UCAC4 installation instruction indicate to extract all the files in the same directory, so you have all the sub-directories n8230,...n0000,s000...s8230 in the same directory.
see: https://www.ap-i.net/skychart/en/news/ucac4_catalog#use_with_skychart

The way you do it with 3 directory containing the same catalog name is not supported.
I try it and the result is the same with 4.2 or 4.3, it work only if all the files need for the chart are in the same directory. When you are at the boundary between to directory it only show the stars from the first it process.

I not want to allow catalog with the same name from different directories at the same time, so please move all the n3000,...n0000,s000...s8230 at the same place and keep only one catalog definition in the setup.

I am not sure if i follow about all being in the same directory. THe UCAC4 folders are in Stable 4 version Cat directory and in Beta version are pointed to there.

Should I make an duplicate in the Beta folder as well?

Attachment shows how they are arranged in the Stable version directory

Martin,

You need a single directory with all the n... and s... directory as in the screenshot I attach here.
This work the same with 4.0, 4.2 and 4.3

Maybe 4.0 accepted the structure you use but this was not intended.
The installation instruction are the same since 2012:
"Extract every zip in the same directory (Windows: Program Files\Ciel\cat\, ...). As each zip can be used without the other there is two common files on each, when prompted for replacement by your zip software you can respond yes or no to overwrite without effect. "
