Summary | 0002463: asteroids and comets not shown
Description | The positions of comets and asteroids are regularly computed but not shown on the screen, despite they are brighter than the limiting magnitude selected for them. This bug is not present in my Windows10 version of the program. The colors of the icons are well defined in the Setup-Display-Color section. A small white circle appears on the screen at the right location and clicking on it reports the relevant parameters of the object, but disappears doing anything else. A screenshot of the asteroid Claudia is attached.

This is probably because there is an active time simulation that not include the asteroids. I "fix" that in the 4.3 beta version by not restoring the last simulation when the program is started. With the version 4.2 open the menu Setup / Date-Time, open the tab Simulation, click the button Reset, then OK. Do this solve the issue? |
