|Summary||0001343: Request to add Mount Burnett Observatory location to database|
I was wondering if it would be possible to add the location of the Mount Burnett Observatory to SkyChart please? I've tried with 3.10 (deb package) and can't find it, even with downloading the latest data for Australia.
Mount Burnett Observatory is a not-for-profit astronomical association to the south-east of Melbourne in Australia which took over the old Monash University observatory with its 18" and 10" telescopes and now has over 100 members from the local area and further afield.
We are fortunate enough to have a trigonometrical station (trig point) a few metres from the dome and Geoscience Australia have been kind enough to provide the data for it, the location information is:
Latitude 37 58 21.9526
Longitude 145 29 43.2950
AHD Height 307.6m
AHD is the "Australian Height Datum" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Height_Datum
All the best!

Unfortunately I cannot add location to this files.
They originate from http://earth-info.nga.mil/gns/html/namefiles.htm and even the last version do not include your location.
This is why you have the possibility to save you own location list in the program, just click the Add button next to the Favorite list.
In version 3.11 you can also load location from your own file using the new location panel: http://www.ap-i.net/skychart/en/documentation/toolbox#locationtime
