Summary0001384: 3.4 Version OBJECT LIST, Distance QUESTION
DescriptionTwo distances are set inside the object list when you bring up a secion of sky to check data. When using this for downloaded Asteroids, the distance to the earth is set in au and so is the distance to the sun. My question is what does the au mean? Is this a measurement type, or abreviation of a fixed point in space?
Steps To ReproduceCannot reproduce in stars or other type objects.

The distance for Solar system object is usually given in au "Astronomical Units".
One au is the mean distance between the Sun and the Earth.

For the full details see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronomical_unit

As this is a conventional base unit in astronomy there is no need for a definition in the program documentation.
