| Summary | 0001397: "Center On" and "Show Mark" are not in the center of the window for CDC. | ||||
| Description | The center mark ("Show Mark") does not appear in the center of the CDC window. Also, after clicking an object, then right-click and select "Center on", the object is not in the center of the CDC window. With the mark "shown", the "center on" object is within the mark. But both are in the incorrect location, to the lower right of center. Zooming in on the field of view keeps the mark and object at the exact position while the field gets smaller. This behavior happens with CDC full screen or at any size smaller. The screen capture shows the problem. http://www.screencast.com/t/akwblvS2 | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Reproduce "show mark" problem: Toggle "Show Mark" button. Mark appears in wrong (not center) spot (too low, too far right). Reproduce "Center on" problem: Click object, right-mouse click, select "Center On". Object is off center just like "show mark" problem (too low, too far right). | ||||
| Additional Information | I've tested on the same build using Windows XP and Windows 7 and the centering error does NOT occur on those systems. The dimensions of my Windows 8.1 screen are 1366x768, but I've tried other resolutions and the problem appears there, too. On the same computer that shows the problem, I used older builds of v3.11 of CDC while the computer was on Windows 8.0. I _think_ I used build 3065 on Windows 8.0 with no problems, but I can't remember for sure. | ||||

This is because the chart window (blue bar with Chart_1 title) is much bigger than the program window or the screen. All the center function are relative to this windows so it appear not centered on the screen. The origin of the problem can be from the Animation setting if you set a big "Frame size". Or if you copy the configuration from another computer with a bigger screen. To reset the chart window to the screen size use the menu Window / Maximize, this must solve the problem. |
