You can search a new theme from KDE settings but not on the Icons page. Open System settings / Application Appearance / GTK Click the button "Get new themes" at the bottom right, select Download GTK2 themes. There is many theme here, type "dark" in the search box. I still like Dark-linux, but Add-Waiter is good too. After the theme is installed you need to make the selection in "Select a Gtk2 Theme" You need to restart skychart after you change the theme. |

Thank you. I did not seen the difference as both refer to the same, however there is.. I have found Add-Waiter, however it is not installable nor it can be downloaded from it web site (constantly switch the pages without download start). Then search for dark-linux and it can install. Result is attached (full screen). I'm a bit concern about yellow text on FOV icons and gray for editable components, however I will test that tonight... After all, looks fine. It is strange however that if open observatory form it is normal gray. Attached screenshot. |

The gray in observatory form is because dark-linux do not set a color for every gtk objects. With add-waiter I not have this problem but I not remember how I install it. But you can try the many themes you find by setting "dark" or "black" in the search box. And installing a theme manually is nothing difficult, just extract the tar in /usr/share/themes |

After brief search and test few themes, "Ambiance Dark Red" looks fine for now... In Night vision mode would be nice as well to: 1. Hide title bar at least on observatory form. 2. Hide Earth map on observatory form (checkbox, perhaps) That would be nice in order to set coordinate from GPS, if forgotten before mount telescope. Thanks. |

I like "Ambiance Dark Red" too, I probably change my night setting for it. Title bar are managed by the window manager KDE in your case, so not part of the GTK theme. You can set dark title bar from System settings / Workspace Appearance / Window Decoration. With KDE5 I have a dark title available but not with KDE4, so install a new decoration with the button "Get new decoration". The first I found "KArc-Dark" look nice. I agree with the world map, I try to make it red in night vision mode. |
