In Setup>Display>Lines, check "Always Add Meridian" and also "Show only meridian in alt/az". A recent change in the program make this also work with equatorial coordinates. I need to change the text to reflect that. For the horizon line, use the button "Save" next to "Favorite" in the observatory settings to save all the specific parameters for a location, including the horizon line and the elevation. The best way to make the horizon line is by direct observation with an alt/az mount. Your elevation relative to the horizon is directly taken into account by the observation. Otherwise the elevation is used for the parallax and refraction computation. |
