Description | The unreleased version of mosaic design can be improved. The tiles near the celestial poles are too close to each other, not compensating for the fact that the RA lines near the poles are closer to each other. The angular distance between the tiles should be equal (delta RA/cos(DEC) ) | ||||

Yes, I compensate for cos(DEC) using DEC for the central frame. This is insufficient near the pole, I will change to use cos(DEC) for each band. |

I make another change to use the specified overlap as the minimal overlap, not on the frame center. This way you not have to increase the overlap value near the pole. https://github.com/pchev/skychart/commit/7761bd01aeee8c3fdd7ec71bd4bebd6fba7f3032 |
