Summary | 0002207: "Orient to Pole" labels are placed incorrectly for stars and dsos
Description | As in issue 2193, stars and dsos have labels incorrectly aligned to the "pole". The 3575 build fixed the problem with constellation labels. In 3575, constellation labels are correctly aligned so that a line that perpendicularly bisects the text baseline will pass through the pole. But star names and dso names are not corrected. It's possible that comets, asteroids, moons, and other labels might be misaligned to the pole, too.
Steps To Reproduce | Click on Setup > Display > Labels. Check "Orient....". The effect is more obvious near the pole/zenith and with "common names" for stars.

You are right, this must also be corrected. I not remark them because I never use the long star name. Also the DSO and planet label must be corrected. But I will do this change after I release the version 4.2 next week because this is too much change to include now. |
