Summary0002341: Possibility to use EQMod Mount with OnStep (LX200 Protocol)
DescriptionHello,
I tried to use EQMod Mount with a telescope using the OnStep protocol (extended LX200).
The connection goes well and the park and unpark functions work. I have not tested the rest because the program disconnects quickly.
This seems normal because it is not intended for this protocol:
12: 19: 50: Connecting mount ...
12:19:56: [INFO] LX200 OnStep is online.
12:19:56: [INFO] Mount is parked.
12:19:57: [INFO] ================ Parkdata loaded
12:19:57: [INFO] Mount is parked.
12:19:57: [INFO] Site location updated to Lat 44:59:00 - Long 0:25:00
12:19:57: [INFO] Mount is parked.
12: 20: 20: Initialization failed.
12: 20: 20: Missing properties: HORIZONTAL_COORD, TIME_LST, REVERSEDEC, SLEWSPEEDS, ALIGNCOUNT, STANDARDSYNC, ALIGNMODE, ALIGNLIST, ALIGNSYNCMODE, ALIGNDATAFILE, SYNCMANAGE,

I was wondering if it was possible to use the program in simplified mode (No alignment management).

Thanks

Hi Serge,

This program is intended to be used only with the indi_eqmod_telescope driver.
This driver implement specific capability not present in the INDI OnStep driver. This is why you get this message "Missing properties:..."

Maybe it is possible to make a subset of the program to function with any INDI driver.
Can you explain what functionality you want to use?

Hello,
Thank you for the answer
I will use for the displacement of the axes
And especially for Park / Unpark / Tracking/Stop (which is not directly available in Cartes du Ciel).

The last beta CdC 4.3 include the arrow button to move the telescope.

I not add the park and track button in CdC as with ASCOM because all of this can be accessed from the INDI panel, click the button "INDI gui" to open this panel.

See attached screenshot.

For me the main interest of EqmodGui is to manage the eqmod pointing model in a simpler way and also for Windows user that move to Linux and want to use a similar interface than on Windows Eqmod.
