Right, this is because the comet are draw before the other solar system objects. The draw order is adjusted according to the distance for the planet and satellites. But this is not done for the comet and asteroid for performance reason and because the case is very unlikely. This time, this prove wrong but I am not sure I want to do something to fix it. It is still possible to track the comet position during the transit by using the option in Setup / Solar system / Planet, check "Transparent mode for occultation". So there is no functional limitation, this is only an aesthetic issue. |
