This function work without any problem on any version. Please check the following: 1) you have installed xplanet: sudo apt-get install xplanet 2) menu Setup / Solar system / Planet, "Draw planet as" = "Realistic image" 3) menu Chart / Chart coordinate system / Equatorial coordinates (to be sure the planet is not hidden below the horizon) 4) menu Chart / Field of vision / Set FOV to 2° 00' (zoom enough to see the planet surface) 5) Type Moon + Enter key in the quick search box. This must show the Moon picture. For other planets click the "Zoom in" button until the FOV is less than 10'. |
