From your description I can reproduce the problem in one case, when the program run from a wrong application directory and it not find the Xplanet program that is used to show the planet pictures. You say you also have an old version 2. In this case you must install the version 3.10 in the same directory, not in another one. I suggest the following: - Uninstall the version 3.10. - Delete the folder C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\local Settings\Application Data\Skychart - Reinstall the version 3.10 in the same folder as the version 2. The two version are compatible, see: http://www.ap-i.net/skychart/en/documentation/installation_on_windows Can you confirm this fix the problem ? I also make a change to the program to avoid such a brutal error in this case. Revision 2862 now ignore an exception when calling Xplanet: http://sourceforge.net/p/skychart/code/2862/ |
