Can you explain with more detail what the problem is? It is expected that when you click the "show objects below horizon" button the current horizon line remain visible but the sky objects are show in transparency. |

I am using CDC for celestial cartography and am making star maps of skies thousands of years ago for research. Turning off the horizon line allows stars below the horizon to become part of the star map, but I wanted a feature to turn off the horizon line so as not to have to manually erase the horizon line in the printed drawing or have stars become transparent. My problem is that setting an observatory in the distant past is coupled with the need to set a time close to sunrise or sunset to map naked eye stars under the horizon before they rise. This feature would make it easier for my use of CDC for celestial cartography. |

Ok, I understand, thank you. I can add a checkbox in Observatory / Horizon, "Show 0° horizon line". So if you uncheck this and every options in the Local horizon group, no horizon line at all are show. Is this a valid option for you ? |
