I cannot reproduce the problem despite setting the same condition as on your screenshot. Can you please zip and upload here you file skychart.ini. For the file location see:http://www.ap-i.net/skychart/en/documentation/directories_and_files Normally with this setting the cursor must automatically return a bit below the maximum because it is expected that the Mercator projection diverge at the pole. |

Attached you find my skychart.ini file. I manually edited DT_UT_val to obtain Delta T predicted by http://maia.usno.navy.mil/ser7/ser7.dat By the way: The input-box for 'another Delta T' doesn't accept decimal values. Could you change this? Thanks |

This was a very strange rounding problem that occur only for your exact observatory latitude, change it by one arcsec and the problem is no more! Anyway this is fixed by revision 3047 that will be available in Monday beta version. http://sourceforge.net/p/skychart/code/3047/ I also change the Time setting dialog to allow to input decimal values for Delta T: http://sourceforge.net/p/skychart/code/3048/ |
