Summary0001583: Adding direction in status info
DescriptionI would like to always know what is current direct (center of the cart) and that to be displayed as info under shown date and time (left top corner of the chart). In left down corner is shown info current cursor position only which is fine, however current direction cannot be seen anywhere if looked body is not centered.

You want the chart center coordinates?

Try Setup/Display/Labels, check "Show position in title bar"

We can add an option to show that in the top left info, but not permanent because it is already big for a small screen.

The info on Title bar is not quite the proper place...

Currently:
Alt/Az coord. TAN. Usefulness?
Aparent. Usefulness?

Please take a look this:
http://wiki.freepascal.org/BGRABitmap_tutorial_Font_rendering

With this you can make nice outline colored fonts and you can get rid of background which cover large area of the corner.

IIRC, Celestia or Stellarium for instance can show details of the locked object over whole screen all the time...

CDC may also have customized basic info to show (by user's need) over chart.

Yes, this infos are useful, and I hate to write text that cover most of the map, I find that hideous.
We must remember that narrow FOV with only one planet to display is a very special case. Generally a map is filled with stars and DSO so there is no free space to write text.

With wider FOV you have the coordinates grid to know where the chart is centered. This information is not present when the grid is removed to show the scale and compass.
Maybe a solution is to add the coordinates next to the compass?

That would be not quite well...

If display info on the chart, I would like to see all relevant ones close to each other. What about to add third column in status bar and display that info there if not on chart?

BTW. What is your opinion about displaying info with these outlined fonts and get rid of the rectangular background cover large part of the corner?
