Summary0001626: New GUI
DescriptionAny plans for a new GUI? This could include new icons as well as tweaking of existing functions. I personally don't like how smaller windows (Object list, Observing list, Ephemeris calendar, Solar System Information etc) open separately of the main window and some of these seem to need resizing and improvement on appearance. Fonts, colours could also be improved. I was not able to find an open issue about this.

Some of this windows can be changed to open in tab, like the new chart. The calendar and Solar system information are in this case.

But other, like object list, observing list, detailed info, need to view at the same time of the chart, so a tab is not convenient. Maybe use side panel as for the toolbox.

Fonts and color are set by your desktop theme, not by the program.

I believe Solar system information should be in separated windows (form) as currently is. It is intended to be independent helper, unless time synchronization with connected chart and can be used as parallel event view. Otherwise, it is not clear with which chart datetime to synchronize.

Synchronization with chart datetime from which is called is intended to show event in Solar system information independently of current active chart. For instance: planetary transit, Solar eclipse or similar, while user can open several other charts and use datetime making chart for any other datetime.

Disconnecting Solar system information from a chart would require independent observer position and datetime control.
