| Summary | 0001628: Appdata files | ||||
| Description | While packaging VPA in Fedora, I've created two basic appdata files, I attach them at this report. In Fedora I've splitted VPA textures in two packages, to reduce download sizes: virtualplanet-data-base provides all main textures and database files and it's needed by the main program; virtuaplanet-data-historical provides historical textures and it can be optionally installed. If you intend to add other planets in a future release, may I suggest you to modularize the program? For example the user can choose which planets to install. | ||||

Thank you Mattia, I have added the files. https://sourceforge.net/p/virtualplanet/code/161/ It is a good idea to make the installation more modular. Maybe start with a minimal texture package with only the files in L1 directory for every planet, and then by planet addition. |
