Summary0001692: Does not scan for pictures
DescriptionI have installed all the new stuff including the pictures. When I ask it to scan the directory (it says it is data/pictures) It says "Directory not found. Please install the Skychart Pictures Package") I have reinstalled several times, but the outcome is the same.
When I click on the directory symbol it shows me /usr/share/skychart/data which contains 17 subdirectories. I do not see a directory for deepsky objects in that list.
When I click on the image archive and turn the path (/home/jduchek/.skychart/Archive active (green) and then go back and retry, it now scans the 17 subdirectories and finds 0 images. Since the rpm of images installs, I have no idea where it was installed, but the program cannot find them.
Steps To Reproducebasically install all the rpms and then try to get it to scan the images.

John,

are you sure you install skychart-data-pictures-4.0-2.noarch.rpm ?

This create the directory /usr/share/skychart/data/pictures/sac/ with 9700 fits files.

.skychart/Archive is not related to this, this is an optional archive location for the DSS picture you download one by one using the DSS button.
