Summary | 0002360: Version 4.3
Description | Looking on the roadmap I noticed that the next version will be 4.4. Currently the latest "stable" version is 4.2.1 and the latest "development" version is 4.3 beta. Will there be no version 4.3?

For some time now I use even number for stable version and odd number for the beta version. This is just a mater of convention. Another way is to use 4.2.99 for the beta version that can later make the 4.3 stable version. The important point is the beta number is greater than any stable fix version (4.2.1 now) and smaller than the next stable version. Do you think another numbering can be more clear? |
|
There are several ways you could do the numbering, but I think it's a matter of personal opinion what you would call more clear. What is more clear for me could be confusing for someone else. |

I will keep the current numbering. I add a mention of the odd number for the beta : https://www.ap-i.net/skychart/en/download#software |
