Summary0002656: Probably no INDI "load" command to filter wheel at connect
DescriptionWhen I connect my devices in CCDCiel, my filter wheel (ASI EFW 7x2) does not populate my filter names. I hat to press "LOAD" in the INDI driver to populate my filter names.
I asked in the INDI forum for help, Jasem states that maybe the load command is missing.
Can you check it or help troubleshooting.

Thomas

Steps To ReproduceConnect to equipment, the default filters appear, press LOAD in the INDI Filter wheel, my saved filters appear.

Hi Thomas,

Open the devices setup and verify the "Load configuration on startup" is checked for the filter wheel. It is by default but there is a possibility to disable that for special configuration.

Also be sure the filter wheel is not connected to the INDI server before to connect in CCDciel. If it is, CCDciel do not reload the default because it suppose another application already use the device. We not want to make perturbation to this application by resetting the device.

Ok, thanks for the fast reply.

"Load configuration on startup" is checked, but I use Indistarter and there is a button "autoconnect" checked. I will release these buttons and my issue should be gone. Thanks

You can close this issue, I will reopen if necessary.

Do you think Indistarter autoconnect need to call Load config ?

I think Jasem does it with EKOS:

I make the change to Indistarter.
Not easy to test because the filter wheel simulator always reload the filter name even without the Config_Load command!

Can you try with the version here: https://vega.ap-i.net/tmp/indistarter/ and tell me how it work.
