Summary0002910: CCDCiel does not copy dark theme from LinuxMint
DescriptionHello,

Having recently installed CCDCiel under LinuxMint (22.1) for asteroid imaging, I've noticed that setting a "dark" theme in the OS (for ex Adwaita-sombre) does not affect the display of CCDCiel panels (which remain white - a pretty annoying feature when working at night). From issue #0002860, i guess that some themes may be "CCDCiel-compatible", some others not. How do i know which one are ?

The Theme selection panel in LinuxMint shows approximately 50 themes, most of them being qualified as Gtk3, Gtk2 and some Xfwm4 (from a recent issue i guess this may play a role).

I use CCDciel v 0.9.94-4026 (latest) under LinuxMint 22.1 with Xfce WM.

Thx for your help

Jocelyn

Hi,

CCDciel no more use Gtk for the display but Qt5, a Qt theme need to be set.

There is some information in the FAQ:
On Linux: Use a dark Qt theme, for example Breeze-dark. When using a GNOME desktop you need to use qt5ct to set the theme, and set the environment variable QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct

This also work for the last beta of Skychart that also use Qt.

Merci encore.

Fixed.
Under LinuxMint, there's no Qt themes by default.
You need to install the qt5ct package the select one.

Merci Jocelyn.
J'ai ajouté que ça s'applique aussi à de Xfce dans la FAQ.
