Summary0000488: réponse serveur CDC : probleme caractères accentués
Description
hello

Following the updated version 3 beta 0.1.6 the return TCPIP server info is incorrect.
There are systematic insertion of a character just before the "°" in the declination!
Accented characters are not correct either.
examples:
localhost> Carte_1: 00h08m51.20s 29 Â ° 08'33 .1 "* BSC 21 Alp And mV: 2.06 bv: -0.11 sp: B8IVpMnHg PMRA: 0136 pmDE: -0163 HR: 15 HD: 358 Common name: Alpheratz

localhost> Carte_1: From BSC 21 Alp and "A" BSC 53 Bet Peg "SÃ © paration: +14 Â ° 12'33 .9" AP: 270A ° DÃ © bracing:-1h04m38.8s-01A ° 00'35 "

If there is a regional setting to do, I can not find the solution.

Thank you for your help

Salut Pierre,

This is because CdC use Utf-8 encoding internally and I miss to convert the string when send by tcp/ip or write to the trace file.

This is corrected by revision 1213:
http://svn.origo.ethz.ch/viewvc/skychart?view=rev&revision=1213

Available with Monday snapshot.
