Summary0000873: astrometry.net solved FITS file does not display properly, scale much too small
DescriptionPlease download the fits file from here:

http://live.astrometry.net/status.php?job=alpha-201109-26850842&get=new.fits

and use the 'pictures' option to display it in CdC 3.4.1. It will load the image fine but it's much much too small. If this is a problem with the file I can take it up with the developer of astrometry.net.

Thanks!

Hi Sander,

The problem is because your image is mirrored, and not just rotated.
This is related to this bug: http://www.ap-i.net/mantis/view.php?id=402
But the effect is different because the file I try for this problem do not use the same kind of wcs notation.

I try with one of my image that is in the right orientation and this work fine.
If you want to try : http://nova.astrometry.net/user_images/2572

But the wcs in your image is right as DS9 show the right coordinates for every star. I try to find a solution for that.

This is fixed by revision 1931 who now use WCSTools libwcs to position the FITS images.
