Summary0000974: Observatory: GMT+ and GMT- mixed-up
DescriptionWrong calculation of time from GMT.
Example at 08:00 GMT, GMT-5 should be 03:00 but it actually displays 13:00

Consistent behaviour at any time with any time shift.

This is how the Posix time zone /Etc/GMT are defined.
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tz_database#Area [^]

But I agree this is confusing for astronomer. I look find a solution for next version, probably by internally mapping UTC-5 to /Etc/GMT+5

This is fixed by revision 2186.
All the selection and display now use the representation UTC-5 instead of /Etc/GMT+5
