| Description | I have moved on to version 3.6 and immediately found problems, after starting EQMOD I was unable to highlight an object to slew to. I setup Cartes du ceil on another laptop (version 3.6) and used a different telescope, also using EQMOD and the same problem occurs. I ued BETA versions and same problems happen. I reverted to version 3.4 and the problem goes away. | ||||

Can you give more detail, including all the software version you use because for me it work fine with ASCOM 6.0 and the EQMOD Simulator 1.19g. Also what do you meant by "it does highlight objects but not the ones that I try to select." |

I am using EQmod version 1.24e and ASCOM 6. I have just reloaded CDC version 3.6 and have found a work around for my problem. If I use the mouse and go to an object (the Sun ) and left click and try to slew it does not work. I have found that if I reduce the level of chart magnification to minimum then the whole system functions perfectly. If I return to level PLUS 1 magnification it malfunctions. If I go to level 2 magnification then it works normally. Then I return to level Plus 1 and it malfunctions. I hope this is helpful. Thanks. Peter. |

Can you upload here a saved chart when it not work: - set the level you find it not work. - open the menu File / Save as... , change to your home directory, type a file name and click Save. - zip your .cdc3 file and upload the zip here using the "Upload File" box. |

The problem is because of an error in the computation of the cursor position with the Mercator projection when the chart is rotated. I will fix this error for the next version. To immediately make it working open the menu View / Position. Reset the Rotation value to 0, it is set to 15 in your configuration. Also your chart is mirrored left/right, this is probably not the best option for a wide field alt/az map. Click the two red horizontal arrow in the left bar to put the West again on the right of the map. Finally you can improve the display performance by not computing 22 positions at one minute interval for each planet every time. Open the menu Setup / Date-time / Simulation and click the Reset button in the middle of the window. When all is OK click the menu Setup / Save configuration now. |
