| Summary | 0001157: Public use of charts produced by SkyChart | ||||
| Description | Is it permitted to upload charts produced by SkyChart on forums and on websites, email to friends etc? As the charts are not marked that they were created with SkyChart, is it necessary to mention this? I know that the software is free, but I think this is a difference issue and I have not seen it answered in the documentation. | ||||

Short response: Yes. Yes you can share, publish. No, there is no need to mention Skychart. But do it if you think this can help your readers ;) If this is for a scientific publication you need a citation for the original catalog you use for the chart. I will add some information on the web page. |
